Anyone have pictures of the wiper arm links for a car with a wiper door?
Hey guys
My car had a 73 nose on it when I got it. The wiper door was gone and they had some non corvette wiper motor on it.
I have the nose, the door and everything almost working again. I go to put the wiper arm links on the motor last night (parts that come from the wiper motor to the transmissions in the cowl) and the drivers side is no problem but the passenger side is too short. I have the adjuster loose as it can be but it's too short by 1/2 and inch.
The passenger side wiper arm link is bent in several places but that appears to be somewhat normal to get around the wiper door linkages.
Does anyone (ALAN) have pictures of the wiper links ? Possibly a good pic of the passenger side itself with all the proper bends?
Txs mike

Hi Mike,
I'm sorry but this is all I have.
This was before my digital camera so there aren't nearly as many pics available and the quality is poor.
Hope this may be of SOME help.
Perhaps Mooser's pics will answer your questions.
Regards,
Alan

Well guys... I figured it out... The same guys that put a non parking wiper motor in the car must have "adjusted" the wiper arm links so that the wipers would either not go too far off the windshield or so they would stop lower down on the windshield so they weren't in the way due to the non parking wiper motor.
Check out how bent the links are. I forgot I had picked up a set of used ones a few years ago and found them in a box this afternoon .

Hi Mike,
Nice work!
Remember, there's a small screw on the wiper arm itself that controls how far the sweep is and is used to keep the blade off the ss a-pillar trim.
Regards,
Alan

Txs for the info on the screw.
I didn't have any of the wiper stuff for this car so I have been collecting parts to make a working wiper door and wipers for several years.
Txs for the help guys!

Here is how you adjust the arms once you have them installed on the car.
