Default Painting door of '76

Need to repaint the door on my '76. Have the door panel off. Looking at removing door handle and chrome weather stripping. Is there an easy trick without removing the window mechanism or should I take the easy way out and tape? thanks in advance.

Hi lo,
The only advice I can offer is to remove the bottom 'stop' in each window track which will allow the window to wind down as low as it can. This will allow you to get at the outer seal screws.
The handle is a bit tricky. You need a 1/4" socket set and some long thin fingers.
Do you have the AIM... it will help a bit.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

Honest answer?! Seriously consider the easy way with tape.

I taped mine and razor bladed any excess. Looked great. Maybe if you were changing colors I would consider removing everything. MHO.
