I like it. It reminds me of the Cadillac a little too.

The split window is hideous! I've never been a fan of the "retro" trend with car makers....If you want retro, don't cheat! Get the real thing! The original split window is iconic now, but in 1963, it was impractical. That's why they discontinued it after one year. In this incarnation (or should I say abortion?), it just looks like a lame attempt to cash in on 50 year old design.

I like it. It's a show car, so there are obvious elements that would never make it into a production car, like the split window, but that's obvious. It will be interesting to see how the design elements influence the production version.

C3 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
I like it! The bubble in the roof should give someone 6 foot tall a little more head room. Never had a 63 Vette so I'm not sure about the blind spot in the rear but with the top down on my 66 Vert I could see the right side a lot better than in my 74 T-Top. Windshield is very low so if your first at a light it looks like you still have to bend over to see if the lights green. New Vette's have traction control, ALB, faster acceleration, key less entry, better mileage and lots of other bells a whistles that make it a safer car but what's the price tag?
Do you think all that computer stuff will last 36 years?

Engineers sometimes try too hard, C1, C2 and C3. Why not start at one era and build from there with subtle changes as the years past. The Camaro at least stayed in the first generation genre so far and will likely milk that for five years before copying the next model change.
Maybe it is a good thing it is a Concept Car and will likley have lots of 'clay' scraped away.
All I can say is "quick Robin, open the Bat Cave garage door".
Dano,

I don't like it for the same reason I didn't like C4's - looks too much like the currently marketed Camaro.
IMHO, GM has a good design going with the current model, no need for radical changes at this point.

If you're going to do the retro thing then do it right like Ford and Mopar did with the Mustang and Challenger. With regards to the new Camaro......, it's stupid looking with the smiling front grill. As for the split window Corvette the OP sent the link for....... it's UGLY. Too over the top....., just another embarrassment coming out of GM. If they want to make a killing they should design a Retro midyear coupe or a Retro version of the '68-'72 Corvettes while not straying too much from the looks of the originals. Read...., do what they did with the Mustang. Also, along with the obvious colors (red, black, white and silver) they should incorporate some Retro colors with the old names like Mosport Green and Daytona Blue, Goldwood Yellow, Monoco Orange, Lynndale Blue, Milano Maroon etc...... Just my2cents.
