Default 1980 Fuse Box Question

Does anyone know where I can find a diagram showing the amp ratings of the fuses for my 1980 vette? I did find a link showing the fuse layout but no amp info. I also cannot find the info in my shop or assembly manual.

do you have an owner's manual? if so, section 7-5 in the back has it.
if not, i'd recommend buying a reprint owner's manual - it's explained many things i wouldn't have guessed in my 'Vette.

if you need, I can scan and post the page here for you...

The 1980 Owner's Manual (which came with each car) and the Chevrolet Chassis Service Manual both have that info. Other (non-GM) manuals may also have that information.

not to hijack the conversation, but speaking of fuses: does anyone know what the "Auxiliary Fan" fuse if for? My car is missing the fuse for it and I didn't want to plug one in until I know what it does...

I didn't even think about the owner's manual. Unfortunately, I don't have one. The car didn't even have a glove box when I got it. I will look at ordering one.

Thanks for your help.

Cool, thanks for the fuse box diagram. I must have a different shop manual. I have the 1966-1982 Corvette Shop Manual and if I go to the chapter listed on your figure, my manual is covering transmissions.

Thanks again.

Glad to help.

This is the best one to own -

I found one here, you might find one cheaper though.

The AUX Fan is an assist fan on the radiator, its between the belt driven fan and the radiator and is controlled by a 238* switch in the passenger side head. I don't know for sure about the 80, but could be its on the silk screen for the fuse block but not installed.
