We will be posting a formal announcement here on the forum shortly but until then I will answer your questions here. What makes them better that the stock spring is that it separates the two sides to make it truly independent. A leaf spring has communication between sides. Additionally a coil over has many advantages. You can easily change ride height, spring rate can be changed in about 20 minutes (by swapping springs), there is better wheel/tire clearance, and they just plain look cool.

Now I see why it only works up to '79. It uses the pre-80 iron crossmember as a mounting point. I think you should let someone on the west coast with a nice Vette, some automotive skills, and access to a lift, have a huge discount. He could install it, documenting the installation here with plenty of pictures and lessons learned. It would be great advertising, it would sell plenty of kits, and the recipient would be very grateful. I know the perfect candidate.....Bee Jay, he's a great guy. Ask anybody. Vouch for me fellas.

Well....there goes the grocery money
Will Shark Bite work if I'm using these cross member reinforcements?
I'll be watching for a group purchase IF one is offered.

Bee Jay, you are quite the selfless self promoter. I'll need references...and a credit card.
jimvette999, we would be willing to do a group purchase if we have enough interest. So consider it offered.

jimvette999, the cross member reinforcements would have to be modified by enlarging the hole that the stud goes through.
Van Steel, wheel rates available in the 200, 300 and 400 in/lb range. Because the rocker has a ratio the spring rates are different.

How is the leaf spring rear is not truly independent? The spring is grounded in the middle (just like yours is), how is there "communication between sides"?

What kind of references would you need and I do have a credit card.
They would really go nice with my newly installed QA-1 dual adjust semi coil over front end with 13 inch Wilwood brakes.
I like to see how they do on the street and road racing track.
