I think they have burned this bridge. Hey, if they work for you great. But, not for me. I appreciate the feedback from everyone. Sometimes we all need a sounding board that actually knows what we are talking about. I'll let you know if I ever get the parts. They know how to charge my credit card...they just don't know how to deliver the product.

Enough about all this. I will let you know when the mysterious packages arrive...if ever.

That is when they should have told me about the glitch ( that they already knew about) and I wouldn't have been ticked. I have yet to speak with anyone who gives a rat's behind. Yes, they have been OK in the past, but you are only as good as your last performance. And this ongoing performance is just not good. No offer or effort to rectify the situation so far. I have no less than 8 emails, 3 phone calls and 8 complaints to them and 4 responses from some robot it seems.

Oh well...
I find it ironic that your complaining about a computer glitch on a board that had a similar glitch for 2 days. Maybe you should boycott here also.

Here is what I gather from this post. Correct me if I am wrong. The OP expected his parts Tue. The forum has been down, Summits computer has probably the same issue as a lot of others. There was a cyber attack or virus that has been rampant the last week and a half. When everything is on the computer and you can not access it it is hard to give you a reply, let you know if your order has been shipped or give you tracking information. I am sure they thought the computer problem was a minor, short term problem. They can't access their information. They told you that once they realized the extent of the problem. Then UPS is shut down Thurs, Fri, Sat Sun. Summit was probably closed or running a skeleton crew Thur, Fri Sat, Sun. I understand you are upset but look at the big picture. Everyone that has dealt with this vendor that has posted has nothing but praise for them. If you call and talk to a customer service manager they will make it right. I just got a set of plug wires last week. $70 came with a $20 off coupon for my next purchase.

Really at this point you don't even know if the problem is with Summit. It could very well be UPS that is the problem. Your order might be parked in north dakota in a UPS truck for the past 4 days. I have dealt with dozens of vendors on various builds. I have had vendors wait to ship my order for a month because one item on a $900 order was not in stock and backordered. I have dealt with many vendors with a website you can't find what you need without scrolling through 20 pages of items you don't need. Then, once you do find the item there is no information or description. I have dealt with vendors more often than not that give you no tracking information at all, ever. And if you call you get ann automated system. I bought a part off the forum that took me two months to receive. I shipped with UPS, printed and followed their packing instructions, Insured and shipped my item and they broke it then their third party insurer denied my claim. My point is you are getting bent out of shape over nothing. You will get your parts and probably a big discount on your next order. S**t happens, although very rarely with summit.

Summit is back up online. They took my phone order on Monday, shipped Wednesday, I got my parts a day or two late...but they've always been good to me. I recommend you just drop it. Easiest way is to ask a moderator to delete the entire thread.

Funny...never saw the glitch here. But, I also don't live on the site like some. I did read about it though. Again, the problem with the glitch I could understand. Their not answering any questions and lack of tracking information and lack of interest is what set me off.

It might well be, but I will never know because they are NOT COMMUNICATING. With a tracking number I could track it myself. They have to date not provided anything. It is not on back order either. I am in the communications business and this lack of it is what really bugs me. I also agree and am asking the moderator myself to delete this thread. It has taken on a life of its own. So thanks for the help, sorry if it got too annoying to some, but for me I don't have money to be wasting on parts and shipping.

So moderator...take her down please.

Default Summit is the best !

If Summit hasn't satisfied you , nobody will ever be able to. They are the best company that I have ever dealt with and have a super reputation for super fast service. As you know they are in Ohio and I am in Pa., I placed an order recently at 8:30 pm ( Half hour before closing )and she said I would have it by tomorrow. Their prices are some of the best around and they have everything that you could possibly want. What more could you ask from a company ? There was a computer glitch recently and that is probably the reason for any problems. All of the positive reviews on this forum should tell you that you are wrong.

This is why vendors charge "Corvette Tax", because dealing with a wacky Corvette owner takes a certain level of patience.

Between needing date-coded cotter pins, and requiring hourly updates from the CIA on package status - vette folks are one strange breed!

I guess you haven't read my complaint in its entirety. They have not bothered to call, email or anything regarding this order. They could have very easily have satisfied me...IF THEY WOULD COMMUNICATE. THEY HAVE NOT...

I thought I had asked them to remove this thread? Sheesh.

In an earlier post you say they sent you an e-mail saying your order had been shipped.

I started ordering from the local speed shop. The price is similar and I generally get my order in 1 or 2 days. Better tech. They deal with any problems, no questions asked. They support the local track (Osceola, IN). The benefits go on and on...
