Default classic insurance

I have just completed a 3 year body off restoration on my '69 corvette which now puts the car in a higher valuation bracket. I'm looking for insurance companies that deal with classic cars. Any suggestions on insuring this car would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Barb,
The key words are "agreed value". You're not just insuring any 69 Corvette, you're insuring a particular 69 Corvette on which you and the insurer agree has a certain value.
I'm happy with J.C.Taylor.
Regards,
Alan

The Corvette Museum is now in the insurance biz. Get info and a quote from Adam. I have been very happy with Hagerty.

hagerty is nice, i especially like the no mileage limit. i threw out some theoritical situations like sunday cruise, friday night out with the wife, etc etc and i would be covered.

the only thing that they wont cover is if it is driven back and forth the work daily the rep said. he did say that an occassional ride in to work to "show off" would be ok.

I got the same explanation. They just want to know that you have another car you use for daily driving. My experience with them has been positive and the key is that you decide what the value of your car is and the rate is based upon that value.

I use Haggerty and like a lot of the other classic under writters they support an agreed value policy which is definitely what you want. They know the market since they are at all of the major auctions, like Mecum that is on as I type this, and setting an AVP is very simple meaning you don't need to get an appraisal of your vehicle by a 3rd party, just photos from a few simple angles and state the value you want.

OK with said, I will be price shopping with Adam at the NCM when my policy is due for renewal next month.

AND where the heck are the photos so that we can see the fruits of your labor & love?????
