Default bolt inside the master cylinder?

Got 90% of my new brake swap done...
Noticed in my old master, in the front resevoir there is a small bolt in a port... But in the new master it is not there!
Am I supposed to be taking that out & putting it in the new one, or is it unneeded??
Thanks in advance... Chris

Hi Chris,
Yes it needs to go back in the master cylinder.
You put it in after the piston is in place. The pin acts as a forward and backward 'stop', acting on the secondary (front) piston.

Alan

But, the secondary stop pin was eliminated latter on (not sure what year) so your 'new' one may not have/need the pin.
