Hi TG,
It's part # 907963, 1 7/32" O. L..
There's only one part # from 64-72.
Regards,
Alan

Boy Alan, we got to get you a newer parts book. . . . .
GM p/n 907963 and p/n 907403 were both replaced by 908244, which was then replaced in the mid to early 90's by 15680264. This is still a good part number and it is the correct short bearing.

If your Vette has a bent cone diaphram spring on the clutch pressure plate as it should, you should use the short throw-out bearing. There are flat spring pressure plates out there and if your parts guy screwed up you may have one (used mainly for trucks and low performance applications.)

I did have the flywheel cut twice but they didn't cut much on the second cut. The mechanic picked up the clutch kit for me.
A Valeo kit that was suposed to be a stock replacement.

Linkage worn?
When I restored my 72 LT-1, I found that the linkage itself had worn.
The pin on the clutch pedal was a half moon instead of being round, the rod from the clutch pedal pin to the Z bar was oblong instead of round as was the rod from the Z bar to the clutch fork.
That explained my problems in not being able to adjust the clutch properly.
You may want to look at those pieces. I wound up installing a new pin (shoulder bolt welded to the clutch pedal) and filled the oblong holes with weld material and redrilled the holes. That was the cheapest way out.
