Here's new glass for your car for $171.77. I don't know why the price seems low. But I found them today while looking for a new windshield for my 80.

Has anyone actually bought a windshield from these folks? Mine came up $130.31 for my 72. Seems way too cheap.

I haven't tried them. But that is the pick up/will call price. They charge another $100-$150 to deliver it. I'm either going with them or www.safelite.com. safelite.com gave me the following quote, installed:

Front Windshield, Green Tinted Glass with Blue Shadeband at top, Black Band
Web-Only Price: $233.95
(includes labor, before tax)

When I got my screen done last year I was advised stay away from the cheap Chinese ones as they are crap quality and a bad fit.

I was told either buy the USA made or the Australian made.

The Australian made one was by far the most expensive ($800) and meant to be the best quality - so I got that. (Insurance was paying for it - so I wanted the best!)

CorvetteAmerica.com sells a tinted windshield for $300. Much more reliable and safe to buy from them.

Yeah, that kinda what I thought. I've heard SafeLite is ok but the newer windshields are thinner and installation is more difficult.

I'm really leaning toward a dated restoration part from Auto City Classic. I know it's more expensive but I have a few friends who've gotten their windshields from them and the fit and finish was exactly like it should be.

I think Auto City Classic is a good place to buy glass. I got dated glass for my 71 from them and was pleased.
Shipping is what really runs the $$ up if you buy from them, since the windshield crate needs to ship 'common carrier'.

Alan
