1971 Corvette 454 Carburetor Selenoid hookup
Finally got new selenoid and bracket for Quadrajet carburetor. The carb is correct for 1971454 engine.
Anyone with a looking down picture of selenoid being close to Accelerator linkage to operate properly, would be greatly appreciated.

The adjustments are all set by having it energized and adjusted to certain RPMs (as per the sticker) so the image isn't going to be of much use, here it is with the solenoid / engine off.
Sorry, nothing with it running but it would just show that it's actually touching the throttle plate

Not sure about parts, but I think he could give you good advice about your setup and how to correct it.

Hate to tell you, but your carb is not a correct 1971 carb. Your carb is a commercially rebuilt "mix-n-match" carb that has been assembled from various years and makes of carbs, and it's junk. The throttle plate and throttle lever appear to be 1969. Other parts are also not correct: Your choke linkage and choke system is off of a 1973. Best advice: Find a good, rebuildable 1971 carb and use that commercial carb for a doorstop in your shop.
There are a lot of good, rebuildable 1971 carbs out there - you can use a small block carb if it's set up right. Just get away from that commercial carb - it will never be right.

Not sure what that means, but I assume you are saying that your float bowl is stamped with the number 7041202 in accordance with some chart you have...?
The float bowl may have the 7041202 number stamped in it (which is a '71 350 Chevelle carb), but the entire carb has been hacked with incorrect years, parts, and pieces. Being a commercially rebuilt carb, they have also drilled out and hacked the bowl itself, so it's not usable as a rebuildable core. Plan on getting rid of it - it is not salvageable. Time to start a scavenger hunt for a correct year carb... trying to salvage the one you have and make it work is not a good investment of time or money. I'm not saying this to be mean - I'm telling you this to save you from a lot of frustration and work trying to fix something that can't be fixed.
