fuel cell? for a 78
went to get the smog done, guy said i have a leak in my gas tank... .....really, interesting
anyways he got me thinking about installing a fuel cell.... something like atl or someorother.... i would mind, even if it creaped out from under the rear bumper.. i actually like the way it looks..
anyways.. where could i find a fuel cell that would fit? ive looked but have no idea what im really looking for... anyone her done the mod and can point me into the right direction???
thanx!..

This is our own fuel cell set up. No mods needed to the body. You have to weld rails to the frame and make a basket that surrounds the cell which then bolts to the rails. Ours relocates the filler to the side but you can make it come out the factory hole with a cobra cap with the right fuel filler set up.

Today I have placed an order to Summit for a fuel cell.
If my mesurement are correct (i hope so....) the room under the body is roughly:
35"-1/2 x 17"-1/2 x 10"-1/2
Summit have a fuel cell of similar dimensions!

I will let you know if it will fit my 79 !
