where is best place for the switched power source for the box?

Try one wire from the connector of the blower resistor.... there is a 12V. switched with 25 Amps fuse!

I don't remember the color..... but with a multimeter should be easy to find the right one....

It depends on where you mount the box. I'd look at what is close and easy to get to.

I'm lazy. I used the switched power lead to the original coil- not the resistor wire-my car didn't have that- it was the old TI (K-66) ignition.

Go to the fuse box- there should be a terminal marked IGN- tap off of that with a wire no smaller than what goes into the MSD box.

i runned a fusible wire from the main terminal on the starter solenoid . be good
