Default Fuel and brake line pics

I don't think Vansteel sent me all the fuel and brake lines for my rebuild...I think I am missing one. Can someone please post brake an fuel line routing for a 76 vette (no diagrams...I need actual pictures).

Stinger,

Here are some pictures I had saved durring my restro. There should be 2front lines, 1 front to rear, 1 rear crossover, & 1 for each side from the TA'S. Hope this helps. Make sure you change all of the rubber hoses. If you don't, they will cause problems later.

Just relax and get it done right. You seem to have put so much work into it already, no need to rush .

My stainless fuel lines don't even come close to fitting. I usually cool off and go inside and take a break, but these lines were pissing me off so much I felt like taking them and bending them in half. This is

Is it all the lines that don't fit up or just the front to rear one? Several of mine fit up OK, although I had to do some tweaking myself. Of course, I don't have them all on yet...

Not sure anymore...I gave up last night and have put them back in the basement until I actually 100% need them. I"ll let you know when I install them...but it won't be for a while.

I wouldn't be so pissed if I lived in the USA - shipping is a hell of a lot cheaper down there than it is up here, and when parts don't fit, especially large items like these, then it gets you really upset and aggravated. Anyways, I'll put this issue aside until I need to install them. Great work Dirtbuster - that chassis looks great

Have you thrown a ratchet through a window or a wall yet?

I don't really consider it a proper "relaxing hobby" induced outburst until I throw something...

Try medicating with a Canadian, hell go have 4 or 5.

The last time I got mad and threw a wrench, It bounced back and hit the car. That gets expensive after a while. That's like throwing a golf club in the water. It feels good when you do it, but i hurts like Hell when you have to buy another club.

What the Hell. It's only money!

That's rough - I threw a wrench once and it bounced back and hit me in the leg. Hurt for a week.

Next time I may just cut out the middle man and throw it directly at myself... it's usually my fault anyway

Dantana,

It's so true. It feels so good until you look at the damage you've caused. I did punch a hole straight through the drywall in my room once (not vette related...I was just really pissed)

I went with the stainless set.
My fuel lines bolted up no problem, my side to side brake lines were good but my front to rear brake line took a lot of tweaking to get it to bolt up to the distribution blocks. Now when i'm trying to bleed the rear brakes it leaks at the rear block and is almost like the line is kinked somewhere ...not sure what my next step is, maybe Stinger and I should go for some of those Canadians and compare notes

All this makes me think that possibly we got the same manufacturer's brake lines, and there is a problem with their template. To long!

I got my from Willcox, but I can't remember who made them.

Who made yours! We might be on to something!

That brake line was too long for my vette as well. I had to straighten it, then rebend it.
