Default Race Ramps?

Has anyone used Race Ramps?
I'm looking at the 8" lift.
Any comments?

Mine are a full 10" lift, still not enough for everything but any more then the floor jack has a hard time to get the car high enough.

I have the 8 inch and the 12 inch wheel cribs plus the 2 piece 10 inch ramps that I drive up on. They are great. I use the ramps for oil changes etc. The 12’s give me full access to drop oil pan or the transmission. The picture below is the 12 inch cribs.

I've got the 67" 2-piece Race Ramps plus the wheel cribs. Both have a 10 inch lift. I like them a lot, they get the car high enough to scoot around under, and I feel very safe under there (much more so than jack stands). They are a bit bulky to store, but light weight.

Nah. Look into an actual lift. Much better! Or, in fact, look into buying an estate on a large hill with a service pit and have a full time staff of engineers that maintain your fleet/museum of historically relevant vehicles. Every thread has at least one..

I have the these and these. Been working great for years, store easily, require no power or cords. If you're worried about angle of approach they have a good page to help.

I'm still waiting for a chance to install a walk in service pit in my garage. I hate crawling under the car these days.

Ok, since alternative opinions and ideas are not appreciated on a Corvette forum, I deleted my post.

I love mine for quick jobs. With the rear wheels on the 2x8s, I can get a jack under the diff to raise the rear onto jackstands, and get under the car in minutes without having to move anything heavy, or have a lift take up garage space.

Make sure you check your approach angles. The 54" length 2-piece work with my lowered 80.

You drive up the front and then you put a floor jack under the diff and jack up the rear and put jackstands in front of the rear wheels?

Yes, exactly. And If I need it on all 4 jackstands, it's easy to get there next. That way there is no side to side lifting, and the only pivot points are the front wheel bearings. The rear jackstand tops only see a few degrees of movement when I lift by the front crossmember. For oil changes, just the ramps are enough.

I have a spreader bar from Harbor Freight to bridge the exhaust on my 79 (which still has a steel rear spring).
