Default PROJECT Z069....It's really happening this time....

Hello there guys, I am back from a MIA time on a '67 C-20 Rolling chassis build. (C-notch, air-ride, 14bolt w/watts-link, rear tank, prep for powder).

Let's start from the beginning.

We are installing a 630HP, LS7 engine from "TurnKeyMotors" with the Tremtec tranny.

I will start with some pictures already posted.....

This is when the frame returned from the Coaters....(May '07)

It has been sitting for a bit, while other projects were completed.

Keep in mind I am reposting some old pics, that way I'll have it one build thread...hopefully without any jacking

What we did here was a lot of scraping, and preping the under-body.

We removed the nasty undercoating, prepped, and decided to use a product similar to LINE-X on the under-side.

We were going to paint it with the body paint, but the LINE-X will be much more durable.

Check it out.....

I LOVE FORKLIFTS, BY THE WAY !!!

There was alot more coming off this thing.....

The finish came out really nice. Alot better than the "spackle" undercoating that was on there.

There are a few areas we missed because we ran out of product...We bought more, but just need the time to finish.

A BIG SPECIAL THANKS TO JP CUSTOM R/C BODY & PAINT for the excellent work on the underbody....Drove all the way down from Nevada City to perform the task !!

Wow, great work, and good to see you're handy with the fork truck.

OK.....THESE ARE CURRENT PICS OF THIS WEEK......

We brought the frame into the shop, to begin the reassembly.-
-
-
Even though it was covered, we wiped all the dust off, and gave it a coat of wax...
-

-

-

-

-
First step...install the upper bump....
-

-
Originally the suspension was removed, and powder-coated...so it all just needed a clean up (from sitting at the body-shop).....Here to lend a hand is Ruben aka "Snowman"....
-
-

-

-

-

-
I think the black and silver will look great together (no, not Raider fans)

Here we un-wrapped some 'gifts' from the coaters...
-

-

-
After the a-arms, we run the brake-lines....some tapping of the threads was required...
-

-

-
Shot of sway-bar and springs....
-

-
Not sure what I'm going to do with this...mabey just polish, mask and paint:
-

-

-
-
-
More shots of suspension....

Somehow, the rear brake line (along the frame) was coated black instead of silver....but I guess I will let it slide this time !!! Our coater is a great guy, so it's cool.
-

-

-
-
We forgot to include the rotors in the coating, so they along with the calipers will get a nice coat of high temp caliper paint (black/silver)
-
-
More pics tonight....
