Default Need help with my cog belt install (pics inside)

I got a Black Mountain Precision 2" Cog belt kit for short water pump SBC a while back.

I've faced some issues (belt is too long, center holes needed to be enlarged..) but the biggest one being I can't align the power steering pump.
The Crank pulley was delivered with a V-groove pulley in the front for P/S. It doesn't worked.
I then relocated it at the back. Same problem.
I'm so pissed off I'm considering buying standard pulleys...
Too bad, because I've spent some money to get them and have them adapted and I love the way they look.
I've seen at last 2 Corvettes on this forum with this setup.

Does anyone know how to solve this ? New bracked ? New P/S pump ?
Thanks

Here are the pics:

Sorry I can't help, but I am interested, that is a cool setup. I just dealth with converted some alum. V-belt pulleys and it was a pain. I don't see how your going to get the V-belt to work on the PS pump though. It can't go much further forward due to crossmember clearance and can't go back or it's going to hit the pump.

It is designed to avoid stock V-belts to fly off in hi-revving engines.
In my case, it's just for the look

Not to hijack or anything, but that bracket for your alternator, where did you get it? My bracket broke and because of my tall valvecovers it's been a pain getting the belt to not squeal.

It's a March Bracket. I got it at Summit.

If you're gunna go through all the trouble to run a cogged belt, why not have it spin something exciting?

If the pulley was at the front of the cog, I would say it is designed for the later remote reservoir style power steering pumps, not the saginaw style.
The other theory, maybe this kit was designed for a long waterpump...but that would mean the crank cog wouldnt line up then.

where did you get the kit from?

edit--looks like this kit from ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hi-Pe...QQcmdZViewItem

thats a long waterpump on that motor.

I got my kit from the same source but ordered mine for a short water pump...
Anyway I think I'll design a new bracket reusing some parts of my March bracket to move my P/S pump backward and a little outward.
Hope it'll be OK
