Mounting AC condenser to radiator support
I'm trying to find out how the bottom of the condenser mounts to the radiator support. There are no holes in the bottom for attachment. Maybe I just need to drill some. My old one was all rusted out.

There should be some holes with welded on nuts I believe, I just had mine unbolted this winter but can't quite picture it in my mind. I'm Over fourty so the images don't last long!
I'll take a picture when I get home if no one responds before then.

Hi Bob, I'm getting ready to replace my radiator core support on my 80 vette. Corvette Fever has an article on this job in the July 2004 issue.
The holes are not drilled in most replacement supports for the AC condenser. They suggest that you place the condenser on the support with the new sleeves and bushings in place before installing the support in the car. Mark where the bushings touch the support and the drill two 3/16" holes. I hope that this works!
Mike.

Note that the bottom is slotted. The bolt has a sleeve and a rubber bushing that the condencer slips into. No need to remove the bolts when installing/taking it out.
