PS Pump question
Need to get a new PS Pump and pulley for my 76 and would prefer earlier(74 -earlier)non press on pulley type for ease of install . My question is will the pulley line up w/ my 76 crank pulley?Wheres some of the best places to get pump and pulley. Thanks

Look at the pictures of the two pumps, the fittings dont look the same to me.

Note; the fill tube heights. They kept changing design just to mess people up. I think you should stick with the correct yr or the fill cap will not clear the ALT bracket.
If you are not comfortable about swapping / installing the pulley, just take it to a small shop and let them damage it. (or not) That's what I did. Took a guy 2 mins to remove / replace. And the pulley is spot on for alignment, no wobble.

You can borrow the pulley removal/install tools from most parts stores. Read the instructions. Nearly impossible to put the pulley on crooked. Can be done, but you'll have to work at it.
