Default Edelbrock carb help

I have a problem with my carb stumbling at part throttle from a stop.Changed metering rods to get of popping in the exhaust from a lean condition. It worked and cars runs good. But iI still have a problem with normal acceleration from a stop.Lars said I still need to go richer be he is not familiar with edelbrocks.Does anyone have experience with these and can tell me if I need to change step up springs, jets or whatever.Edelbrock has a chart for each carb, but I am not sure what to change.

Check your accelerator pump setting. A bigger squirt of gas off idle might help get rid of the stumble...

What model carb? What size engine?Do you have the owners manual? It has a chart and tells you what rods to use to richen or lean out the carb.Is the choke staying on?Does the accelerator pump work?

This is the most extensive write up I've ever seen on the Edelbrock (Carter AFB) carbs.

Great article!!...of course my brain blew up somewhere around the second section and is all over the ceiling
But, I'll gather up the grey matter, stuff it back in my skull, and give it another pass
Thanks for the info

I had the same problem, so yesterday I set the timing to 16 degrees, and put the accelorator pump linkage in the bottom hole. Runs way better now.
