I'd like to send out a "Thank You" for all my brothers and sisters in arms who are currently deployed. I'm fortunate to be stateside now but all of you are in my thoughts and prayers this Memorial Day. Also, thanks to all of the Vets who have served in the past. If it weren't for you, God only knows what kind of world we would live in. Words can't express my gratitude to the guys and gals in the Army and Marine Corps who are the heavy hitters out of all of us. I hope the work I do makes you safer. James Ireson, Crew Chief 116 ACW JSTARS. We've got your back!

Oops, Forgot about the missus. She's a captain, USAR. She will be deploying to Iraq in July. She'd probably shoot me for not mentioning her.

Thanks! What a thoughtful post. I am a former Air Force pilot who served in Desert Storm and I am in awe of the young men and women who still heed the call today. My hat is off to them!

God Bless all Vets!!! US Army 11B - FSB Lynch and Cu Chi - 1969-70When it was my time to go back to the "world" I went from Cu Chi home
to Green Bay and arrived in mid December - bit of a temp change! It
took me over 20 years but now I have a 1970 Vet that goes like a rocket! Our men and women in the military are brave and intelligent.
Please understand that the people of American are with you!!!

While many Americans welcome this weekend as a chance to gather with family and friends, to barbeque in the great outdoors, and to miss a day of work on Monday, we must always remember exactly what we commemorate this weekend-our fallen brothers and sisters who paid the ultimate sacrifice to preserve our freedom and the freedom of millions of others whose names they didn't even know.

Thankful as we should be that we didn't have to pay such a high toll, we have an obligation to honor our fallen heroes by working to ensure the survival of the freedom they died to protect.

Thanks from yet another vet

To our members of congress who would have us withdraw from Iraq immediately, I implore you to not let this turn into another Viet Nam. Let our boys win this one. Don't let the lives of those we have already lost be for nothing.

Thank all of you for being there when this country needed you there.
When I moved into our new home 2 years ago, the first thing I did was build a flag pole. It has served it's purpose well but after hearing the response from everybody, I will have to tear it down...............
and build a taller one.
