Default Kickazz 1970 Baldwin Motion clone on ebay!!

Yikes!!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...item=596791870

You are bidding on a very clean eye-catching 1970 Corvette. Originally a big block car, I copied the paint scheme after the Baldwin Motion cars of the early 70's, the car is painted in a brilliant purple with white striping in very good condition. The engine is a non-original 468ci of heart pounding big block chevy. 12.25 compression, factory GM ZL1 Cam, LS6 heads, 7/16" dimple rods, forged steel crank, Seal Power pistons, Dart Intake, Holly HP Series Carb, Edlebrock aluminum Water Pump, MSD Ignition, plus other goodies. (500 miles) The Transmission (not original) is a true fine spline M22 "Rockcrusher" 4 speed transmission with no rings on the imput shaft behind a Hays street strip clutch setup, along with a factory GM flywheel. (1000 miles) The rear end is a heavy duty unit out of a 67 tri-power corvette with 4.11 gears. (4000 miles) The fuel tank was replaced 2 years ago. There are less then 125 miles on rebuilt trailing arms and the following I installed new when I redid the trailing arms: SS Shims, HD Bilstein shocks, half shafts w/u-joints, rearend cover, brake calipers (o-ringed SS) from Vette Brakes, drilled rotors, rubber brake lines, pads, wheel bearings, front and rear sway bars, front and rear wheel alignment. Interior is in good condition with problems listed below. This car is/can be street driven, although long trips are not recommended, because of gas mileage and gearing.

Damn !!

If I had the $13,500, that car would be sold NOW !!.

I love the looks of that bad boy, and would make a nice weekend / dragstrip cruiser.

Too bad I broke the bank on my current C3.

From reading his info. Not a original Baldwin Motion. Paint was just copied. Engine, trans, rear end, all replaced.

Still a nice looking car.

Hey Purp, I have always admired your car! (OMG you have priced it like a PROJECT!) It's always a timing issue... I would LOVE to own your car... just not now... actiually my dream is a 69 ZL1 clone, paint scheme is similar.

If you have ever posted, I dont remember... has engine been dynoed? 1/4 mile times? good luck! MJ

Man, my heart just sank. You have THE DAMN HOTTEST CAR on this forum and I have privately coveted it since you joined.

Alas, I am getting married in 4 1/2 months and unless I want that to be cancelled, I can't buy the car of my dreams. :( For 13.5K, I would have been happy forever.:(

Why in God's name would you part with that thing???

Very nice looking car. I am currently building a Motion clone. It is not ment to trick anyone, I just like the look. Vette Vues has pictures of a Phase III GT that was for sale in Carlisle this year. I saw the car and it was really neat.
My White car is a Motion Kit.
You should not have any trouble selling it.
Good Luck!

Actually the answer is 2 fold on that. First off, buying a house, so I have to get the priorities straight. That and for the past 5 years I've been working on building a 70 Pro Street Camaro that has a blown 447 BBC in it. The car is currently in the bodyshop and trying to support 2 toys, a house, etc.... I just couldn't do it. When I was little I wanted 2 things in cars, a vette and a car with a blower. Well the one dream has been fulfilled, now it's time make sure the other one gets finished.

And hopefully with the sale, maybe I'll be fulfilling someone elses... :)
