Introducing my new baby!!!
Last night I became the new owner of a 1971 vette. The car was originally a Ls5 454 but it currently has a 350 in it. It needs lots of little things but it drives great. Below are some pics. So when does this big grin go away?

Sweet car , My 350 also gives rubber in 3 gears and a chirp in 4th. The best thing about your car is that someday a 502 will fit in easily. I would need to change my radiator support , ect. The car looks nice that color.

Congrats, Sean! She's a beauty! Drive it, enjoy it, and don't try to make it perfect, because no matter how deep your checkbook is, it won't get there. It wasn't perfect the day it left St. Louis, so don't over do it! :D
Go Gators!

Nice!
I :D every time I drive mine. There are times my :D turns to :mad when something breaks or I have trouble modifying something. The :mad is only short lived and I always end up with a  in the end.
Enjoy your new ride.

Overall it's fully derivable right now. It needs lots of little things like new suspension bushings, the clutch needs to be adjusted etc.. but nothing major. I guess the biggest things is a slight bit of "dented" cross frame where the front control arms are mounted. There is no other damage to the frame and it appears straight. No fiberglass has been replaced either (or they did a darn good job of putting in factory seams under the fenders...)
The "dent" was rewelded in place but it could be cleaned up a bit more. I'm guess $300-4400 in welding and it's good to go..
I'm not wild about the color but it's not too horrible. It's actually that type of paint that changes color depending on the angle. It's basically purple with touches of black and blue. The original color was War Bonnet Yellow, which is what I'd like to return it to one day...

Re: Introducing my new baby!!! (sdotson)
What kind of wheels are those? They almost look like minilites (is this the right name?). They look real nice. I've been keeping an eye out for something that is sporty, but vintage looking. I like the minilites, but haven't found anyone who makes them to fit c3, although I've seen them on racers here and there. Can you expound on the wheels?
BTW, Great looking car!!

Re: Introducing my new baby!!! (EIGHTDOLLARS)
You've got me on the wheels? I will pick up the car on Saturday so I can't go out and look at them now. I'll take a look and let you know as soon as I can...
