I'm amazed all that fit under the hood and between the wells in a C3. Simply amazing.

I've never heard of a "tpi" 454 right from gm in the '80's...however, they did build tBi 454's in '87, which is like a 2 barrel carb with two injectors...mine even has 4-bolt mains

Yeah, that's what I learned, they did do a TBI, and then went right to a Vortec style FI in the late '90s. I would love to rebuild a Vortec and carb it.
