Default Quick Demon carb question...

Can anyone tell me where the idle speed screw is located on a mechanical Demon 750? I lost the manual for the carb and need to adjust it slightly. A picture would be even better. Thanks

There are two, primary and secondary. primary is near the throttle linkage on the driver's side and the secondary is on passengers side. Set both so that the transfer slot is .020.

Here is a link to the manual:

By the way, I am from mass as well and you should join our little northeast corvette group. All c3ers.

Thanks,
Joe

Its a good idea when you make adjustments to your Demon idle speed, to turn the primary and secondary screws the same amount...otherwise, you could get into an off-idle stumble as i did. I have a Mighty Demon 800 , dp, mech secs, annular boosters on my 468 cid 1970 Vette ; best Carb ive ever owned . The performance difference between this and the Edelbrock EPS800 Carb i used to have, is phenominal. I might add that going annulars versus downleg boosters gives alot more lower end torque if thats what youre after. Regards.

The primary idle speed screw is on the Driver's side of the baseplate on a 45 degree angle leaning towards the rear of the carburetor. The Secondary Idle Speed Adjustment is on the passenger side of the baseplate on a 45 degree angle leaning towards the front of the carburetor. Both screws are slotted, with a spring on them holding them in place.
