Flaming River R & P setup

Steeroids and Flaming River both offer a manual rack, they're just as expensive as the power steering version ($1200).... I've had cars without power steering before and it wasn't too much of a pain.
I'd like to hear from others who have a manual R&P how hard it is to turn the steering wheel, sure I'd like to eliminate the power steering pump, lines and the potential leaks.... have enough of those...

i have the power steering steeroids version and the power steering is not a varaiable power steering unit so i can see where the non power version would be really nice at highway speeds

I ran a steroids styly setup ( grand am rack, custom brackets ) without the pump for a while on my smallblock car. It wasn't too bad except for parking and tramlining sucked with the 17" Kuhmos.
The last straw was trying to throw the car around a hard corner. It just can't be done on a manual car.
Power steering definitly makes for faster corners.
But it IS very driveable in manual...
