Default Quadrajet ID Please?

Can someone please ID this carb for me?
7043202 FS 0313

I know it's a 73/Chevrolet/Auto trans but I would like to know what vehicle it was originally installed on.
I dont have the access to decode the rest of the numbers/letters as some of you members do.

This time I asked the rebuilder to doll this one up for me (It's nice to have a spare).. I think he did a great job, the first one he did for me wes a rush job. It was bead blasted but painted silver.
It runs great and this one is built to the same specs but I think it looks pretty much like new.

If anybody is looking for a good rebuilder (I'm in CT) let me know... this guy does very nice work at VERY reasonable prices, he will also tune/tweak any of his carbs .... just drive the car to him and you will drive away with a smile on your face

Thanks in advance!

Wow that's a beauty of a q-jet. Nice find bob.

I don't have access to decode either, but man that q-jet looks perfect. Better than mine even and mine is only like 4 years old.

Lar's Quadrajet tuning paper says "CHEV 73 350 all Auto" for a 7043202. This means it could have been installed on any 73 chevy with a 350 and auto transmission, except a truck. This would include Vettes, Camoros, Novas, Monte Carlos, El Caminos ect...

Yup, but there are other documents that will tell what Chevy this carb was originally installed on
Thanks

From the numbers you provided, there is nothing specific to identify this carb to a Vette or any other 73 350 Auto Chev.

The 7043202 FS 0313 decodes as

704 - Rochester Carb 70 - 75
3 - 1973
2 - Quadrajet 4bbl
0 - Cheverolet Division
2 - Automatic Trans

FS - Manufacturing Plant

0313 - Date - 31st day of 1973

This carb could have come off of 190hp vette, but it also could have been originally installed on any other 73 350 Chev exccept L-82 or Truck

Hey KAL!
Heres a pic of it mounted
Note the studs...Ive been swapping the carbs so often or pulling air horns to try and tweak carbs ...
The studs allow me to do all this without destroying the threads on the aluminum intake

I'm running the stock '81, it's aluminum but it's freaking low. Need something with a bit more rise to it.

And maybe a new hood... or a Sawzall at the least.

I dont think the Edelbrock Performer made much difference in performance on my L48... I installed it so I could run a Holley while I am learning about Quadrajets....... Oops....sorry, diddnt mean to offend any Holley Die Hards....Quadraflops, Quadrabogs
There ya go...... now everybody is happy
