My linkage fell off and I found it on the bottom of door what clips are needed? It looks like one on each end.

You only need a clip for the end of the threaded adjustment piece. The other end twists into place.

Here is a link from Ricks showing the clip you need. It is the DOR459 one in the picture (third from the left).

I tried copying that picture for others to see but couldn't do it.
Do I need to remove the handle to put this on?

No you can put it on without removing outside handle.If that is where the adjustment was leave it and dont move either way too much.Its a little difficult to adjust-you have to have enough stroke to open door but not too much so lock will work.The lower clip is a little tough and easy to break-a little tab pops into a hole in lever it slides over and you just push the pin through but it is hard to get back out if the adjustment is not right.The top clip is more of a spring to keep alignment.Top clip is GM #7762203--bottom slide on clip is GM #3998009--you will most likely have to order--Good Luck

Yes there was 2 clips from the factory.The top clip is not needed to hold it in place-but it acts like a spring to keep that end from trying to go back through the hole and wearing that top hole in the handle like a slot.This clip goes on "before" that S end goes in the hole in the handle.If you watch it work -without a clip you will see what I mean.It trys to wobble because it doesnt push straight thoughout its stroke.I'm sure it was a bandaid fix after it was in production.

In the process my son snapped the door lock rod clip, do you have a GM p/n for ecklers 23215 and 23216?
BTW I couldn't figure out how to install the door lock lever clip ( the lower one)

-23215=GM#2294788=Champ#134015---23216=GM#3700188=Champ#134016--Champ is a common brand at auto parts stores-there is a good chance GM#s are discontinued--none of these clips have to be forced its sorta like a puzzle it will fit-On the lower door lock lever clip--it slides on the lever first -then the swivel pin pushes threw the clip.(To get this clip back off you have to pull up the locking tab and slide the clip back off-this will try your patience-this adjustment is critical-too much length and lock wont work right-- not enough and door wont open without pushing outside flapper way down)That is why I said earlier dont move swivel very far from where it came off.Good luck

My hands are too big to fit in there but my 9 year old has the smarts and fingers to get it done. He gave which is rare but he did manage to install the linkage and adjsuted so it works with no binding, However he says the clip is useless. Go figure a 9 year old with attitude.
BTW how are you converting those part #s to GM #'s?
