Just wondering how many of you drive your C3's everyday :D I for example drive a C4 everyday as my daily driver  But drive my C3 to events and cruises : Power Tour; Super Chevy Show; Eckler's; etc....NEVER, NEVER, Trailered !!! I'm sorry but' I feel trailers are for boats...or full blown race cars :seeya

I'm not sure if I qualify as a daily driver, but I drive my "Rat Vette" (nicknamed after the primer beater style rodding craze that has hit big on the West Coast because mine is currently in gel coat with a lace painted "T" stripe on the car for fun) but I drive mine as many days as possible. I don't mind potentially getting caught in the rain, but I selectively drive the car on days it isn't raining in the morning. I don't drive it after the winter snow season has set in either.
I put 8,000 miles on it last year in 5 months, though it was the first year I owned the car and had it on the road after working on it 8 months.
After this summers engine rebuild which I just completed, I have put the first 1,000 miles on the car in 3 weeks. It was in attendance at Vettes of Carlisle on Sunday. It looked pretty shabby amongst the other cars, but I have put my money where it counts, not where it shows.
Next summer she will be "the Prom Queen." i also plan on taking her on weekly trips up and down the east coast, going where ever the whim takes me and staying on the road as long as the funds hold out. You can really pack a lot of necessities in the room available.
Can't wait until next summers vacation, but that is 178 working days away!

Drive my '76 about every day. In the summer time I drive about 200 miles a week. Half that in the winter.

I drive my car whenever it isn't broken. The only time I don't drive it is if it's snowing, has snowed recently, or raining hard. The rain issue is mainly because I don't feel comfortable driving it on wet roads, it has nothing to do with paint or dirt.

Every day rain or shine. If it rains, the top is up, otherwise it's down. Drove it 3000+ miles in July cross country. Even taken it skiing (203 cmm skis will fit inside the car :D ). It will probably get laid up this winter for about a month for an engine rebuild and Tremec tranny swap but next year I have to drive back to WA from RI.

My favorite bumper sticker: "If this car is on a trailer it's been stolen"
Same here --- in fact, mine might be pulling a small trailer soon if I can find the right hitch setup.
For my other hobby -- Radio controlled car racing. Not enough room in the back of the '80 for all of my toys.

Daily driver -- it's my only driver !!

Just like BSeery, it's my only driver. I put 44 miles per day round trip to work and back. Still going strong although it does break occasionally, but what do you expect from a 22 year old car. You just fix it better.

When I bought the car 30 years ago, it was my daily driver, except in winter. I still drive it to work when it isn't raining and still store it in the winter. It has never been trailered and would love to get one of those bumper stickers...

Pretty much daily - haven't been drving it in the rain here lately - too many wackos out there driving to fast for the wet roads.

I drive my '71 454 daily, year around. That was one major reason I installed EFI on it. Makes it nicer in traffic.

BTW, I highly recommend modern hi-perf 17 tires for driving in the rain. The wet traction is much, much better than 15" bfg radial ta's or eagle st's.

How about 20K+ a year, 5 days a week, some weekend driving.

Is that a daily driver?

Nastee,
I was out working a crash one day on Lewis Turner and you drove by; that thing sounds tuff cruising by at highway speed.

As for my project, it will also see plenty of daily driving, and a little test-n-tune at the trck to boot.

BSeery: I've got a hitch on mine for launching my 20foot C-scow racing sailboat. If I can help let me know.

I've been daily driving my 68 Corvette roadster every day this summer...except for the occaisional drive in the 455 68 Firebird. The bird burns gas like it's still a quarter a gallon though, and the Corvette, for another month anyway, is still a small block and I can go almost a week on a tank full.

You see, I've had terrible luck with my regular daily drivers. I had a 1986 Shelby Charger that blew a turbo 3 years ago. Then I drove a 1991 Nissan Sentra hoping for better reliability. It broke a ring and had a dead cylinder...not worth fixing. Then I went back to a turbo in a 1987 LeBaron GTS, but that only lasted 6 months before developing what I think might be a wrist pin knock, or possibly a rod knock. So while I've been swapping turbos on the original Shelby Charger, I've been driving the Vette.
AND I just bought a 1986 IROC tuned port Camaro with a bad 305 that I'm going to swap the 355 into from the Corvette in a few weeks. So then I'll have my choice of two daily drivers.

In case you're wondering, I'm big blocking my Corvette. It's getting a very strong 427, but is built with all the modern technological improvements and a solid roller cam. The big block is about ready to go in, but I still need a custom radiator and the rest of my exhaust. All other big block mods have been done to the car. Oh, and now the Muncie is showing signs of needing a rebuild.

You know what though? Driving my Vette every day has really taught me the finer points of driving it, that in all the years I owned it I never fully learned.
I'd recommend driving your C3 to work more often for that reason.
