Edelbrock Performer Rpm Heads
well i guess that i made my mind up on what heads. I already have the RPM Cam so why not go with the RPM heads and Air Gap intake. So what do you all think about the Performer RPM Heads.

Well rite now it has a comp cam extreme 4x4 cam in it. My dad thot that it would b a "good idea" for me to have a weaker cam in the motor.but im changin to full roller at the time. But im also runnin and edelbrock manifold. I got the angle plugs cuz ive herd that there better by various mechanics. Straight or angle plugs both fit in so it doesnt really matter.

Good head at a decent price, on a budget you won't regret them.
Do you already have the Air Gap manifold, if not think about the E-tec RPM air gap and heads.
As far as a cam, well Comp has some nice retro roller kits, not cheap though. I used the Xtreme Energy™ Hydraulic Roller Cams XR282HR-10
You can see Comps comparrison dyno results here.

The latest issue of Chevy High Performance has a test on the best heads for $1000 or less. The Edelbrock RPM heads performed very well in the test. I would recommend getting straight plug heads to minimize header clearance problems.

I have the angle plug heads and ran into a major clearance problem with the #6 plug and my Hooker Comps. I ended up having to make 1/2" exhaust port spacers. I wish I had known. I would have bought the straight plugs.

If you are going to get RPM heads, I HIGHLY recommend taking them to a machine shop for inspection. I just bought a set and the intake runners were very very rough. They gasket match the ports but leave ridges inside the runner. Also my machine shop didnt like the valve seats. Once all was said and done, I layed down 5 bills for a partial port and a valve job
