Kid...everything about you has become humorous. I really can't point at "just" one thing. I have nothing "to see". You are the one that "should" soon...see the light

I sent a pm to the mod also. Yes I basically got banned for no reason though. It was for unappropriate picture which was not my fault that it was posted. If I got banned for something that I did I wouldn't be posting. And I do spell because wrong all the time.

Just can't answer the questions, can ya!? They were fairly simple. Spelling isn't important in your answers

I will add something good to this thread though if others might be interested. You can redrill the holes inboard as people have been doing this for a very long time mainly to increase the distance from the spring to the tire and not for increased spring rate. But by doing so you will increase the spring rate as well. I do not know by how many pounds as I have never sat down to figure it.

But if you are happy with the spring as is then it will make it just a bit stiffer. You can ask VBP and they will most likely have an answer for you on the change of the spring rate. As they also produce a shorter glass version as well.

If you do both sides the angle becomes too great. To move both holes you have to cut the spring just inside the existing holes and then drill 2 new 3/4 inch holes. This makes the spring too short with stock trialing arms. If you cut only 1 side, drill 1 new hole and then add a new 3/8th hole in the exact center the spring is shortened but at the same time the slope of the bolts is accetable.
I drove with a shortened spring for years but it bugged me that the bolts angled in. It really put a dent in the poly bushing and I did break a bolt once.
Later I offset the mounting on the trailing arms to fix this.
Drill only ONE side, not both
Drilling the hole doesn't really change the spring much. I did have a leaf spring checker and found my rear spring was 140 pounds per inch.

How do these guys have 250# rates with 9 leafs then? I have offset trailing arms. Does that affect the mounting position?

George did an update to 'Two Fellas'. He didn't change the title but it shoud have been 'Three Fellas'. Anyone wonder why TS hasn't been on lately? Maybe he also has a new name but is laying low. If Yellow is back on with a new name and the mods know, he may have been released and serving probation. Break the rules again and he might get life.

Why not go to a sping shop and get one made? Making custom leaf springs should not be that big of a deal.

Or Bite the bullet and get the shorter one from VBP. At what ever weight you want.
