You can also decrease their size and richen up the idle but that should be a last resort.

Loose screws sink ships. No PVCR? That's weird. I wonder if that's one of those metering blocks you get in secondary metering plate conversion kit?

I am hoping that the loose screws are the problem, they where basically finger tight.

Yes that is weird, threaded hole but no where for the fuel to go. Put a plug in it and upped the jets, suprised I did not notice it before.

Just a follow up for any that care, I decided to try my little 600 vac sec Holley and car now runs like a champ, guess sometimes you can have too big a carb. Wish I had a 650 dp to try out.
