Quantity of posi traction additive required for rebuild
What quantity of posi traction additive should I add in when rebuilding my differential? gtr1999/Gary's directions say two bottles, but how many ounces are in these bottles?
I should have time to put the carrier together and tune the posi on Tuesday. Won't be long and I'll finally have this thing on the road again.

I bought my additive at the local parts store. It was in a 4 ounce tube. I only used one tube since I also used synthetic lubricant this time. So far, 100 miles, no more chattering.

Okay. I have two 4oz bottles and will be using some to lube the clutches during assembly. I should be good to go then. I can't wait to get this thing on the road again.

The additive isn't really critical, it's a "patch" to cure noisy diffs by giving the clutches some slippage, the amount you put in it isn't super critical...it would work just fine without it (but could be noisy)
Just dump some in and fill up w/ the lube of choice.

I usually put about a half quart of oil in first, then the GM stuff, 2 bottles, the top it off with the oil required...
good luck on getting her back on the road; mine's been down about 3 or 4 months and I hope to get it going soon too...so I know the feeling. jim.
