Cheapest? hum try China those SOB seem to be making everything today! Now if you want quality it will cost you more, but it's your car.
Good shops Van Steel, Bairs, Ikerds,Norval.Tom454, me but I don't think any of us do cheap work.

Sorry, don't mean to sound nasty but cheap and corvette never went together.

DIY = cheap, if you have the tools & the knowledge on how to do them.

Vansteel will rebuild yours for $200 a side. Free shipping back to you too. Comes back looking like new ready to bolt in. New brake shields and stainless p-brake pins are included.

I did my own too (If I had it to do over I would let VanSteel do it). Make sure you get US made bearings. I went to several stores before I got 3 US made and 1 in Canada. Autozone has Timken which are mostly US made.

are the ones you do yourself. it takes awhile and it is a PITA but I don't think I spent over $125 for both sides, and that includes the machine shop bill of $35 for checking runout. mine are set at .003, packed with some GM synthetic grease the dealer recommended, and got probably about 8K on them. no problem
