I'm not familiar with the three-hose fuel filters, but my new three-hose fuel pump is doing the same thing - sending all the fuel back to the tank, none to the carb. Same symptoms, but quickly got worse to the point it won't even idle. I pulled the pump and it won't build pressure unless I block the return line. Tomorrow I get another new pump. Joe

I hope that I do not have a failing pump. Still waiting on the S line to come in the mail and I will change it and let everyone know.

David, I had this exact problem on my car a few years back, and it was indeed due to a marginal fuel pump. Try taking the car up to 3500 to 4000rpm slowly in second gear, then just cruise at that speed and rpm for a little while. If it starts to stumble after 10 seconds of doing this, then you can be certain that it's a fuel delivery problem.

Shannon-

We missed you last weekend. We had a good cruise despite my stuttering car.

The Grill got cold when the sun started to drop, but warmer weather is definitely here right now!

Take care-
