Default New exhaust in!

I just picked up the 68 after work and wow what a difference!! Ed Hansen at http://www.edhansonsmuffler.com/ did the work and they come with many top refrences. All in all she sounds 110% better, seems a little more peppier off the line and the look from going from sagging rusty pipe and mufflers to brand new mandel bent 2.5" pipe with quick disconnects, H-pipe, tucked away flowmasters and new 2.75" tips looks great. At idle the car has a deep resonance and at highway it's not the ridiculous loudness I expected. The pipe is tight against the frame and they even threw in a new rear tranny mount for $10.00 since mine was "sagging" Pics explain the rest.

I didn't take any side pics of the chrome tips and the lighting sucked for the last shot but they are slightly larger than stock and really look great coming out the rear valance.

Excellent exhaust system.

Stay safe at sea.

Last thing is the paint. I'll be delpoying Jan 06 and should be able to save up enough over my 6-month journey to get my car repainted back to the original International Blue.

Pete thanks and same to you.

looks great! but are u sure thats mandrel bent? looks a little squished to me around the bends...just wonderin tho cause all the mandrel bends i've seen are the same diameter thru the whole entire bend and it is just seamless...

Beautiful job. Which Flowmasters are they? I thought you were sold on the chambered exhaust. I think you made the right move.

Looks great David. I have been thinking about the Flowmasters. Which was it that you installed and are we going to get a little sound bite of them? I would like mine to be just a little bit louder than it is now.
