Default Pre-1980 transmission crossmember

I’m looking for a pre-1980 transmission crossmember that will allow me to run true dual exhaust on my 1980 Corvette.

If you don't need original, the Bowtie Overdrives C3 crossmember allows you to run any type of dual exhaust because it tucks right up underneath the floor pans. I used one and it was a great piece! Good luck!

I'll be removing the automatic transmission crossmember from my '73 BB and won't be reinstalling it.
It will be a couple of months before I get to it.
Let me know.

Was it a simple swap or was modifications needed?
Thanks

I believe they are the same.
The only difference is the manual trans crossmember was welded in and the automatics were bolted in.
If you plan to use exhaust tubing over 2.5 inch diameter, you might want to look at an aftermarket crossmember like G-Force.

Default Crossmember Pictures

Here are pictures of my crossmember. Two of the bolt holes seem to be a little “different”
