Default WTB 700R4 crossmember

I am converting my '79 Vette turbo 350 to a 700R4 and need a crossmember that will work with it. I believe '82 had a 700R4.

Please reply with price and shipping to zip 32073.

Thanks

I just converted my 81 th350 to a 700r4... And I believe 82 came with a th400... Anyways... I had my trans shop do the swap cause they already had it up on a lift when they diagnosed the failure of my th350...

Long story short, he modified my existing crossmember by cutting/re-welding the trans mount plate by 2 inches, clearancing and boxing the mount to make room for the speedo cable inlet differences, and shortening/balancing the main driveline by two inches ... Not sure if there is a direct bolt on trans mount that would have had these adjustments... But with limited space under there anyways, we decided to let him modify my stock mount instead...

Just thought I'd let you know how I was able to get this trans swap accomplished... Pm me with any questions... ;-)

82 had a 700R4 for sure but your existing crossmember can be modified.

I got a new trans crossmember from bowtie overdrives that is made for the 700r4 conversion
comes powdercoated and they were easy to work with. Located in Cali.

We figured out how to modify the one for the TH350 to work for the 700R4.

Thanks for the input everybody.
