Purchase 427 Block Cast 3916321
Got a 21 SEP 1968 corvette, originally came with a 427/435 (currently has a 1970 CE block) and I'm wanting to find/build a period correct block/motor (cast number 3916321). Any recommended vendors or corvette forum members out there to contact? Thanks in advance!

I have seen blocks on ebay but that's a kind of hit or miss type of thing. Another place you can check is Hemmigs clasified section. I've seen blocks for sale along with vendors. I think you might need some patience if you are looking for a casting that falls within a couple of months.

Problem is that this early blocks can also be used for the 67 C2 .
This shows in the price of this early 321 blocks.
Ask me how I know.
My car is a 5 Oct 67 C3 and I looked a while to find a block. Found several over the years, either too expensive or too overbored or even cracked. Finally found a short block, newly overhauled, standard bore
with steel crankshaft all standard. I am still thanksfull that the seller took it out of the E-Bay auction to sell it to me.
Keep looking, you find one.

Update on 321 Block
After almost a year, I finally found the 321 block (build date 1 Sep 67) from a guy by the name of Tom from Classic Engines (found him in Hemmings MN), Oshkosh, WI. What an incredible guy, 40+ years of experience, prices are great, and he's a total professional who maintained open communication throughout the transaction- highly recommended for anybody needing an engine. Along with the block, he sold me the 840 heads (21 & 24 Aug 67) that I needed; block and heads were shipped this past Monday, should get Tues- can't wait.
