a number of years ago I bought some at Carlsile, PA in a roll. Guy had tons of it. The rolls are about 36" wide and 6'ft or so long. I cannot locate a source, and don't have the tag that came out of the roll. I used it to line the inerior before carpet was installed, and the shop can't find anymore. Anyone got any suggestions? Deadened the sounds and helps with heat in the car.

I'll try that, but this is not typically Home Depot material, it is too thin and its original use is not geared for that, but I'll check...thanks

I got a roll of what sounds like you are looking for, from a payless cashways hardware store that was going out of business. I will get the tag, scan and send you an email to you to see if it is the same stuff. I found some similar material at HD but it was actually too thick for my purposes.

If this is the stuff your looking for it can be had from the Home Depot in various widths. It is plastic bubble wrap type stuff between foil about 3/16 to 1/4" thick :cheers:

I just saw this stuff in Home Depot a couple of days ago. It's called "Reflectix".

Menards has it as well. I don't remember what it costs but it's realtively cheap compared to the foil insulation kits sold in the major catalogs. It comes in various sizes as well.

darn, that sure looks like it. Thanks for the help with pics and name, I'll run over to HD tonight and check on it. This is great under the carpet set for sound deadening and heat. Made a big diffrence in mine.

Reflectix is the stuff I have, 1/4" or they say 5/16", rather than scan the label I just got the name and address of the company. The HD that I go to had the larger 1/2" material but no 1/4".

I bought the stuff to insulate the tanks in my fish hatchery, but if I ever have to take out the carpet in my car I know where it's goin'..great idea :cheers:

I bought mine at the local Lumber yard. It worked great and forms very well. :chevy
