F/s 454 engine
Selling a 454 out of a 1973 corvette I was originally going to put in my 67 vette but due to the larger intake and water pump I think I will run into clearence problems with the frame and hood so I decided to try and bring the car back to original as possible so this engine will not work for me so I have no need for the 454 so here it is:
Block Casting 3999289 H 16 73
Heads Casting 3917215 H 21 7 and H 16 7
Edelbrock Performer RPM intake
Edelbrock waterpump
it has the fuel pump, looks like a higher capacity oil pan and nice moroso valve covers but no carb.
The engine was professionally rebuilt several years ago and I am still trying to get the paperwork from my friend who I bought the engine from. I am not sure what was exactly done to the engine and heads (hence me waiting for the paperwork) but there are gold colored Crane rockers on the heads with a number of A725 if this helps anyone who might know more about engine rebuilds than me. I have a few pictures of the engine if you would like I can e-mail them to you (size too big to post) The engine was running before the car was taken down for rewiring a couple years ago. The engine sat in his Chevelle until it was pulled about a month ago for me to put it in my car. There are no numbers on the front pad (removed when the engine was rebuilt). I am asking $2000.00 I am located just south of Chicago

454 Block
Other than the intake and possibly water pump, there is no reason it won't work in a 67 Vette. The dimensions of a 427 and 454 block externally are the same. Hope that helps.

I'm also,in Illinois, and have a friend's dad down this way that has a late 66 never stamped 427 with correct heads.Fresh.Was going to put mit in his sons 73,but didn't want to trash such a desireable engine,so they went 454.This is fresh rebuilt with zero miles, and all machine paperwork, etc. is available.I also, have a machinist friend here local that has about 20 Corvette 427 blocks from over the years,so may be able to get you in the ballpark for your dates.
By the way....good buy on your engine.Very fair.
If you need anything for your car,fiberglass,paint,mechanical,etc....k eep me in mind.
Kevin
Also,67 tri-power intake with 68 carbs down this way,but the numbers were ground of the intake. It was on a BB Nova yeeeeeaaaaaaaars ago,and they were going to polish it up.
Good luck.
