F S - Modified LT1 Intake Manifold & Rebuilt TB
This is an LT1 manifold from a '96 Impala that's been modified to fit a Gen1 engine block. The EGR boss was removed and welded up, and the back of the manifold was machined and modified for a standard distributor and hold down. New sensors were installed, and the TB was rebuilt and opened up and has shaft bearings to keep plates opening smoothly. Custom TB plate on top optional, and it comes with the fuel rails and sensors.

Sorry about the delay. I've been going back and forth on this. I was considering a TPI swap and ran into this. I like the idea. It would be different and I hear the LT1's breathe better, but just a little worried my first FI swap without using a kit. There's a TON I don't know here. I was reading a thread you had about two years ago with doing this swap using a 94 LT1 intake. Perhaps you could point me in the right direction. I've been trying to figure out what other parts I need:
I've got a mild 383 (440hp 468tq) with Trick flow center bolt hold down heads (so should work well with the LT1 as the center holes are aligned correctly I think), MSD tach drive HEI dist, MSD 6al ignition box, all original accessories and a TH400 trans. Eventually I want to swap in a t56, so the TH400 shouldn't affect anything. My biggest concern is getting the wiring harness / computer correct. Who did you go through to get this done / how was the product? When I do this swap it has to go fairly smooth as my neighbor will call to have my car towed if it's down greater than a week.

I have the computer and harness all boxed up and ready to ship, and was going to send it here. I made the following notes...but essentially they need to know EXACTLY what your engine is...top to bottom, to accurately burn the chip. The harness is easy for them so long as you give them all the info they need.
I would suggest calling them, telling them what you have and what you want, and the prices should still hold up and work fine.

I would assume that part of the wiring harness would make no difference at all considering my MSD 6al and dist would be controlling all the timing, right? I've yet to get ahold of anyone at LT1wiring. Dana said he sold the company and all I got was an answering machine when I called the shop number. I'll try again tomorrow and if I get the run around I'll call Dana back. I'll ask him about it.

Melting Slicks
Matt, did you do the modifications to that yourself, locally, or online?
I just purchased a spacer for the distributor from LT1intakes.com and haven't decided how I'm going to approach this (when I buy the intake and fuel rail)
I was thinking about doing all the measurements and locations myself and take it to a machine shop locally to have all the holes drilled and/or tapped.
I like the idea of cutting out the egr boss and welding it up for more clearance.
Can you email or pm me the pictures? It would help me if I had to take it to a machine shop locally and explain to them what I'm wanting to accomplish.
