I bought a complete system from GM in 79 for my 70 LT-1. It was not like the origional one I took off. You would have to make sure it is correct & not just old GM replacement parts. Check NCRS judging book. Good luck.

My 54K mile 1970 LT-1 had original exhaust on it, the mufflers were a "deep tone" type like the C2 off-road system NOT like other original Vettes I have listened to. No one makes a correct set of pipes for our Vettes, the pipes going under the differential flatten out for better ground clearance. Stock pipes were std carbon steel with no aluminizing on them and tend to fail at a rather early age. Dynomax Super Turbo direct replacment mufflers are the closest sounding to the stock LT-1 mufflers but would never pass for original.
