Default For Sale: New 548 Big Block. Dynoed at 777 HP. NA

REDUCED $8500!!! My friend has a New 548 he built for his car. It is fresh and was dyno tuned. Not run since. Have Dyno sheets. Best of everything. Carb to pan. Am compiling a list of parts. I know he wants $10,500 and has much more in it. Built and dyno tuned by Performance Motorsports.

Looks like a sweet setup......interesting that he used iron heads...and then had them ported? Any flow numbers on them? They must be doing well to hang in that good at 7K!

As many folks are building these things out there...it ought to be a good sale. I'll let folks know about it!

I can get flow #s on the heads. I thought it was unusual to use Iron heads too but they are not a weak point! The guy that built it said he had over 30 hrs in porting and flow bench testing. It is built for a big nitrous shot. The guy that built this is building my motor too. He is a small shop with a huge business, mostly racers, so if your not one of his bread and butter racers or truck pullers you wait. My final assembly should be this week! It has been a year but I am doing the rest of the car so it was no big deal.

Hey guys, This is a Fresh, New 778 HP Big block that runs on 91 octane pump gas. The carb and intake arel over $3000. Has MSD Ignition. Drop it in, put a water pump on it, hook it up and drive it. It's ready to rock.

A 572 720R crate engine puts out 720 HP and is a race fuel only engine. List price $18856.00 (I have seen them for under $14,000) This 548 motor uses a standard deck height to work with stock configuration headers, has 60 more HP, runs on pump gas and is considerably less $. Someone has to have a project for this!

If my motor wasn't at the builders about done I would drop this in the 63. My hood would clear. Wouldn't need nitrous then.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Eddie! Think this is going to have to go to E-bay. Hate to do it, I really wanted to see this in a forum member's car.

] Not even close! I got that in my 383 build. The 572 720 HP crate engine is $18,000 list and runs on 93 octane. This motor is NEW! has 58 more HP, runs on 91 and is a standard deck height. no header or steering fitment issues. Bolt it in and go...................Really fast!

Even with shipping costs I still bet it would be much cheaper than building this motor yourself.
