I never use my radio, so i only put the antenna on at car shows. I’d like to find something to make the antenna base look more finished when i don’t have the factory antenna on.

has anyone seen something like a short rubber stub antenna or a cap for the base?

I have a 68 which uses a screw in antennae. I use a stainless steel flat head screw to keep water out of the threads. Lou.
