That is the great thing about the C3. They are affordable classics. When I am driving my 73 around this college town, the kids go crazy and whip out their cell phones to take pictures. Even non car people know the Corvette is cool.

I had the same reactions when I drove my 75 convertible home. Three drivers gave me thumbs up, and groups of boys around 12-13 years old where going crazy when I drove by.

Strong price for the car. Pretty black coupe, detractor for me is the long hood. But I love the 68' and this one looks very nice. Easy to put the wipers back, cut down the hood and make it a little more stock for minimal money......

Top Flight car for a good price... tough to get low mileage Corvettes half a century old for cheap anywhere...

I was amazed on how, high the prices, on clean C3's are commanding at auctions during the last three months. Many were automatic's though the manuals seem to dominate higher pricing. Excited to see how restored or clean C3's continue to appreciate.

I really can't explain that 81. $50K for an 81 automatic? Auction madness!

I was there and looked at this car up close. It was close to where it should be money wise. I would not have bid that high considering the buyer's fee added on plus getting it home. It had none of the pinstriping and the repaint was ok but it was missing the shadowing in the tail light housings. The hood and side graphics were painted on. The interior was in decent shape. I'm sure the steering wheel was replaced or reconditioned. I had a CE for over 7 years so I know what to look for. I could not access under the hood so I don't know how it looked in person. Good driver quality.

The paint was bad on this one. From 10 feet away it looked great. There was a big splotch on the hood that looked like excessive heat from the AC compressor or someone spilled something on it. It was blistered pretty bad. There were lots of flaws on the passenger door and 1/4 panel. The interior looked new. Underhood had the usual "patina" for this age.
