Default My sold 72 update

Some of you guys who have been around remember this car and me from a while ago. I started on this forum in 1999 and had this car a few years by then. I documented many updates and stories about this car. The forum was responsible for me spending way to much money on this car! I enjoyed the heck out of this car. Had probably 5 motors in it 3 different transmissions a couple of rears and countless suspensions. The last was an LS3, T56, 12 bolt rear and a Van Steel coil over swap. Well divorce settled in and I moved and the car moved on its own but never really became road worthy. The car sat for other projects and was never completed. Long story shortened I had 3 toy cars and I was moving again to a house on the water. 2 cars had to go and this and my Cobra were sold. The car went to Ohio and the new owner has kept it well. I have not heard from him in 3 years and wondered what happened to it. Last night out of the blue I get a text and an update on the car and these two pictures. The car is alive and well. He changed out the trans to a T56 Magnum, sorted out the suspension and a few other details. He is enjoying the car and I think it still looks great. I bought the black top but never installed it. It matches the hood stripping well. I knid of miss the car but I have moved on to other things and can't look back.

I think I bought your AIR system off of that car many years ago, it’s still on my car and working properly, I did have to change your white centrifugal fan to a black one that was more correct for my car.
Glad to hear you’re doing well, happy Holidays Gordon

Roy

Thanks for the update Gordon. Following your posts was motivational for me for my LS build. While I took a slightly different path it helped to see what you and others were doing.

I always have a tough time selling cars. I get super attached to them, but knowing I did my part to help save a car and get it off to a good home is reassuring to me.

Looks like a great car that you built, and the next owner carried the torch well!
