Default Goodbye for now.

Sold my 75 yesterday. One of those bitter sweet things. Drove several hours about 6 months ago to look at it. When I got there it was pouring. So couldn't look at it as good as I would have like too. No ones fault but mine, purchased it anyway. Paid 8k, put another 3+ in to it, sold it for 9k. Car ran great! But I did tell the new owner everything I knew about the car. I even had carboard under the car so it would help him see where the leaks were coming from. That's part of owning a 48 year old car. But I can say I got some of that money back in smiles when I drove it. This was my 4th vette (C6, C5 and (2) C3's). But I have to say this C3 was the biggest head turner. Eventually will go back to a C6 or C7. See ya!

What's next now that you've got some $$ in your pocket? Are you going newer right away, or another C3?

What a cool car. Congratulations on the sale, I hope the new owner really enjoys it.

Do you happen to know the source of that rear bumper? It is what I have on my 79. If it is an ACI or Greenwood, it would have needed some parts filled to make it look like that. I've never found the source of the clean looking bumpers, though there is much speculation at this link.

Why not just put on an 80-82 rear bumper like this 79. ? Personally i think it looks a lot better. I get it, one mans trash is another's gold but i just think it's way over the top.
It detracts form the sleek, smooth, sexy / classy vette lines & overall character.

There is simply no need to add more flare to an already curvaceous body. Don't need a Coke bottle with a duckbill.
