Default Brought a 1977 Corvette home

Picked up a 77 corvette to go with my 93. So when my daughter graduated high school a couple years ago I got myself a 93 this year my son graduates I got a 77 just in time for my birthday too. She is a 77 but rolled off the line in 76 so we are the same age.
Runs and drives great and with the colors of both I can make Christmas cards.

Can you give us a review on the differences in how the cars handle and drive?

I like the Polo Green on the C4.
I’m looking for a green color to paint my 73.
Can you post more pictures of the 93?
Any close up would help as well because I’m looking for something without a ton of metal flake.
Thanks,
Greg

The 77 is solid, previous owner took good care of it only really needs a paint job and a new spedometer cable, needle bounces like crazy below 30mph . She handles better than anticipated and sits way higher than the 93 so you don't have to worry about rubbing the bottom on this crappy bump on the rode by my house. I took her up to 90 and not sure if I would go any faster but it could definitely go higher. The 93 is just a better aerodynamically engineer car and feels safer driving 90 and over. The 93 is also a manual and faster but your also comparing fuel injection to a 4bbl carb/ Funny enough though I think the 77 has a better turning radius but the 93 huggs the rode.

77 has style but the 93 looks mean. They are both keepers.

Pictures dont do it justice. It is metallic but nothing overboard. I'll try to gat a close up when the sun hits it.

Thanks for sharing the photos. If you get a chance the closeup would be nice.

If the cable is not frayed just pull it out, clean it and coat it with graphite and drop some graphite down the housing and reinstall. That should cure your problem.

The pollen and taillights added some contrast. Let me know if these work.

I have a 95 convertible as well as a 77 coupe. My convertible started life as polo green, I really liked the 2014 Limerock green better and my car needed painting, so, I painted it Limerock green. The polo green is on top and the Limerock green is on the bottom. A green corvette is a beautiful thing!

That is a big difference in the size and the amount of Metallic in Lime Rock Green over the Polo Green paint.
Thanks for sharing that picture.
I am looking for a paint with the least amount of metallic, so I may need to go with the Polo Green over the Lime Rock.
Too bad because I really like the Lime Rock Green paint.
