The 79 distributor is not a computer. The HEI module is only 4 wires and does no calculations, it merely reacts to a trigger.

No computers in the way modern cars are constantly being monitored but there is a mini-computer on the back of the tach. Nothing else I can think of.

I wouldn't think of a HEI distributor as anything that has to do with computers. And I never thought of the tach circuit board or for that matter the courtesy light timer board. I guess they are super simple computers after all.

Nope, the LM1819 chip isn't a computer, it's all analog inside. No 1s and 0s....
